One of Swedens largest solar parks
The solar park at Hovby Airport in Lidköping is among the largest solar power production facilities in Sweden. It is a result of a collaboration between Lidköping Municipality and Better Energy, contributing to the renewable energy capacity of Västra Götaland region. Construction started in june 2024.

Lidköping Municipality owns the land at Lidköping Hovby Airport where Better Energy's solar park is located. While the municipality is committed to sustainable energy production, we are committed to accelerating the green transition.
This collaboration have enabling a large renewable energy project that will help meet growing demand for local, fossil-free energy.
Early in the development process, we engaged with residents and businesses in the surrounding area to address concerns and incorporate feedback. Ongoing dialogue has continued throughout the construction phase to ensure that the project aligns with local interests.
